Rockin' Red

No pair of men's pants calls for attention quite like those red pants. This intense color is worn best by people with dominant personalities, people who can handle all the deadly attention.

For the first two looks, I tried to control the intensity with white, black and gray. The first look is more relaxed but still evokes sensuality. The second look, although very casual, still conveys strength.

The final look is that of a rock star. It's about power and control. A trace of ochre pulls the attention away from the red crotch to the intense face. The dominating red is down-played by black. The withheld intensity, softened by a fur wrap, is just about to explode.

I like what you have done with the red pants. At first I thought that they might be the Liv doll pants but those pants are soo small that not many dolls can wear them. So they must be FR pants. I like all three looks. My favorite is the one in the blue hat. Thanks for the post. It gives me some ideas.

Thanks, too, Ms Leo. My mom and I made the two pants and the shorts in the recent entries. Sorting thru my Ken items, I realized his pants are mainly denim and black so I figured we needed something different. :)

Wow, these pants are incredibly well tailored - from what I can make out. Very sharp look in both cases.

I would not have thought red pants would look "right" on a guy, but these look great. You and Ms. Leo were both right about using those pants on Japan Ken. He looks great in them ;-D

Thanks Dana. This pants went through a number of alterations to get the fit I wanted. :) My initial pattern just didn't work. Even when I already altered the pattern, the pants still seems too loose, when I intended them to be skinny/slim pants. I got tired of altering the pattern so I just altered the pants. :)

Yes, all three looks definitely work for him and your pants are awesome.

My favorite look is the third, he just looks so hot in this outfit.

Thank you Andrea.

To be honest, I love and hate the Japan Ken doll. Love that he's Asian and he looks so manly and mature. Hate his pony tail, painted widow's peak (which should have been rooted, that is why for the two looks they are covered) and his seemingly bad temper.

But with the 3rd look, I just love him. :)
