Old doll. Contemporary fashion. New look.
1. I don't want to buy a new doll. The old ones can still work it.
2. I don't want to buy too many mass-produced doll clothes especially if they cannot be mixed and matched. If everybody will, our dolls will look like they're wearing a uniform.
3. I want my dolls to look different (from yours). It's my way of saying, "I can think on my own."

Yes, I agree! I wish I had more patience with reroots, but there's nothing like new hair or face paint to make you a brand new doll! She's beautiful!
Thank you Vita. Another option apart from reroots are wigs. This one is wearing a pink wig.
Personally, I find it easier to make wigs that rerooting.
As for face painting, once I really like a doll's face, I don't repaint. A simple restyling of the hair and a new wardrobe can make a huge difference. This doll has not been repainted.
When it comes to styling to make a doll look contemporary, I read fashion blogs. :)
really awesome
Nice look ... and even better, real-life looking and not candy-dripped looking ;-D
Glad to see you back and writing in English (greedy of me, I know, to be like that ;-P
Thanks for the tip about reading fashion blogs to stay au courant about fashion.
Thanks affandydesign! :)
Thanks Dana. Although I'm blogging in two languages, I can't say I'll be as active as before in general but I do have some entries lined up in this blog. :)
Wow, she looks awesome with pink hair. Who was she originally, mermaid Kayla?
Andrea
Wow, you know your dolls! That's Magical Mermaid Kayla, alright. I got her with her hair badly chopped off making her a good candidate for a make-over.
